Outreach Program for Children with Gender-Variant Behaviors and their Families. Their main goal is to support and affirm young children with gender-variant behaviors so that they can grow and develop healthy self-esteem and positive social participation. Parents and professionals play key roles in advocating for these often-misunderstood children. They have a parents’ support group, among a number of other services. Meets every Monday from 7:30pm-9pm at St Mark’s United Methodist Church, which is on the corner of Peachtree Street and 5th Street in midtown Atlanta. Members gather at the rear entrance of the church, up the stairs from the parking lot, at 7:30pm. Look for the Gender Crossing sign on the door. If you arrive late, ring the door bell and someone will let you in. Meetings are accessible, through the parking lot level entrance, which is right by the elevator. Try to let us know in advance if you want to avoid climbing the usual two flights of stairs, as we don’t usually monitor the lower entrance after the meeting starts.
