This is a test of the possibility of integrating extra languages into the T-Vox Wiki. The idea is that each page will remain first and foremost in English but the addition of these extra pages behind (effectively - they're further down in the tree anyway) the main page will allow the wiki system to expand into other languages on a topic-by-topic basis.

Usage

To create additional language pages for a given topic, simply go to the page for that topic and then add /<Page title in target language> (e.g. Main_Page/Page_Principale for a French version of the Main Page) to the end of the URL. This will open up a new page, which you will then be able to edit if you are logged in. You can then translate the page into the target language and save it here.

To link to that page from the main English page, return to the English version of the page and add the following code:

View this page in: '''English''' | [[English Page/Name Of New Page|Name of Language]]
----

This will help to keep all translated pages looking similar, which makes using the site a lot easier to use. See the Main Page for an example of how this works. Notice that all translated pages should have a similar language bar, as follows:

View this page in: [[English Page|English]] | '''Name of Language'''
----

This ensures that all translated pages will link to one-another. Again, see the main page as an example of this.

Why use this system?

The pages are coded this way for two reasons. Firstly it allows the page to be created as a descendant of the original page, so anyone browsing to it will know immediately what the page is discussing. Secondly, the use of the subject in the title line rather than the language allows for easier and more efficient searching using the current search facility. A search for 'Transsexualität' in the search bar, for example, would then bring up Transsexuality/Transsexualität as its first entry, rather than risking that page being listed further down the search results (which would be based on the server's idea of relevance rather than the topic).

What if there's already a page with the same name?

If there's already a page with the same name as the one you want to create, or if the English page has the same name as what you would call the new page, please use the name of the language as the page's name.
